Newcastle ready to offer Victor Osimhen N4b per year salary.

Premier League club, Newcastle United is reportedly ready to give Super Eagles star striker, Victor Osimhen up to N4 billion (€9million) in salary per year to convince him to leave Italy.

According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, Osimhen has been linked with a move to Premier League clubs; Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle, but the Magpies are the major contenders to get the €100million rated star.

Newcastle attempted to sign the 23-year-old in January, and will double his current wage at the Serie A side if he accepts their offer.

The report says Osimhen is ‘tempted’ by the offer, and there are suggestions that if Newcastle avoids relegation this season Osimhen could jump at the chance to join the English premier league.

The club, which was bought over by a Saudi-led consortium in October 2021, know that Napoli will sell him nothing less than €100million this summer according to the report.

Osimhen has scored 17 goals in 29 matches for the Naples club in all competitions this campaign.

He scored four times and registered one assist in five Europa League appearances for Napoli this term, while he has struck 13 times and provided five assists in 24 Serie A outings

Arsenal are the 'number one' contenders to sign Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen this summer.

Arsenal have emerged as the number one contenders to sign Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli this summer, according to reports in Italy.

Osimhen has netted 17 goals for the Naples outfit this season and has been attracting several Premier League after his fine displays in the Serie A.

Arsenal will be in need of a new striker next season as they aim to secure Champions League football next season, with both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah, the club's only recognized strikers at the moment.

According to Gazetta dello Sport., the Gunners are already making moves to revamp their frontline ahead of next season - now ahead of the pack in the race to sign Osimhen.

Arsenal will have to meet Napoli's price tag for Osimhen, with the club reportedly set to hold out for a huge 100million euros (£84m).

Their move for Osimhen will depend on whether they make the Champions League, it adds, with Arsenal battling Tottenham for a top-four spot. They are currently two points ahead of their rivals with four games left.

Manchester United are also 'linked with a move for the player, the report claims, while Newcastle are also monitoring the situation and would be able to meet Napoli's huge demands.

Mbappe joining Real Madrid might be true - Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez.

Hopes of signing Mbappe to the club appeared dim after PSG manager, Mauricio Pochettino claimed the attacker would "100 per cent" be at Parc des Princes next season, but Perez has revived speculation after Real Madrid won the league title on Saturday, April.
Speaking to Movistar in the wake of Madrid's La Liga triumph, Perez said: "I hadn't thought about it [Mbappe] but now that you mention it, it might be true and so on."He added: "When we plan next year's squad, we'll see."
Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti was also asked about the possibility of signing the PSG star and gave a cryptic response, telling beIN Sports: "Mbappe to Real Madrid? With this club, with this president, the future is already written."
However, when asked if that was meant as a confirmation that the deal was done, the Italian coach replied: "I didn't say that."
PSG have tried to convince him to stay in France by tabling a bumper €50 million-a-year contract which would make the 23-year-old the highest-paid player at PSG, surpassing the likes of Neymar and Lionel Messi's salary but he is yet to accept it, with just one year left on his current deal.
